Director Mahesh Babu replacing Purushottam has taken up ‘Ajith’ starring Chiranjeevi Sarja and Nikky Galrani younger sister of Sanjaana.

The film ‘Ajith’ a remake of Tamil film ‘Paiya’ of director Linguswany went on the floor on Thursday morning. G Prem and Pranav Gowda are main producers. They have paid Rs.15 lakhs for the Tamil film to get the remake rights for Kannada.

It is a journey story from Bangalore to Mumbai. The film focuses mainly on Chiranjeevi Sarja and Nikky Galrani. According to Mahesh Babu director of the film ‘Ajith’ has some changes compared to original. We have added comedy track for the film. Prem Adda was not my style but this one is ‘Meravanige’ style for me.  I am in second consecutive remake. My next is with original subject promises Mahesh Babu.

Chiranjeevi Sarja feels very comfortable with director Mahesh Babu with whom he worked in ‘Chiru’. The characterization is what appealing made me to accept this film says CS.
